LED Sign boards-
These are signs I modified for the local ice cream shop in town. I added LEDS, to make them move visiable. To finish all the signs took about 30 hours. Each sign has a 48 volt power supply which can put out 335 mA's. There are about 250 LED's Per sign, grouped in sets of 20-22 LED's each group. The signs originally used a single bulb to light the sign, this was very dim and hard to see. At night these can be seen down the road.
LED Strip Lighting
This strips were made from old boards pulled from exit lights. The regular red leds were desoldered and replaced with different leds with much higher output, Red, Blue, Green, UV, and Orange. The resistors also needed to be changed out to match the new leds. They are done in groups of two and each board runs off of 12VDC. The photos show some of the construction and testing for the Orange/red, UV and Blue Strips i have made. The UV and Orange boards were fine with a 1/4 watt resistor while the Blue needs to be changed up to a 1/2 watt.
